Inspired by the Italian Futurist Food Movement, The Santopalato brought a gourmet, underground supper club experience to the Black Rock Desert.
The bayou decor and live music were accompanied by seven course meals each evening. To fit with the year’s Cargo Cult theme, we created an entire religion for the camp, complete with wooden tarot cards and a narrative of Gods & Goddesses. The Santopalato was featured in Saveur Magazine, Huffington Post, and KQED.
Created a story and aesthetic for the camp, fitting with the festival’s annual theme.
Conceptualized brand design for name, logo, website, and marketing assets.
Coordinated logistics to build a full commercial kitchen and bayou themed dining room in the desert. Worked with gourmet chefs to design menus and food orders for each meal. Designed and fabricated decor and centerpieces.
Held a fundraiser event and implemented social media strategies to raise money for the camp.
