laurel style

Yesterday was my Birthday! I’m so excited for what’s to come. This past year has been full of transition and reflection, both personal and professional. I rebranded my business, went through a tough breakup, and traveled to some incredible places (Acapulco, Washington State, and Alaska, to name a few.)  In this next year I plan to move somewhere new, expand the blog, and much more. To celebrate, my family and a few friends ate at the incredible Scandinavian restaurant Plaj in San Francisco, and I wore a few of my favorite things.

I hardly ever wear heels, so I LOVE a cute and comfortable flat. These John Fluevog loafers are such a fun menswear-inspired look. Fluevog is one of my favorite shoe brands, because each pair is extremely well made, I find them very comfortable, and they have such unique colors and styles. Paired with these beautifully tailored black Ted Baker slacks, this outfit can easily go from the office to off-hours. These pants are my go-to for important meetings and interviews, but I also love to wear them out in the evening.

I’m usually wary about buying a loud print that might just sit in my closet never getting worn, but this bold green blouse from Alice and Olivia is so gorgeous and versatile and I wear it every chance I get. I love that it’s sheer and shiny but still super classy!
